Fahrije (Yllka Gashi) and her family have struggled to get by since her husband vanished during the conflict that reshaped their homeland. To support herself, Fahrije brings together other local widows to set up a modest food business. But when her conservative and deeply patriarchal community scorns her attempts at self-sufficient independence, it’s not only Fahrije’s future that’s at risk – it’s the fragile stability of their society.
