Who decides the zeitgeist? What's in and out in contemporary publishing? Independent publishers SMUT Press, HELA Press and Tummy Ache join Flora Gau to unpack who gets published, what gets championed and how to sustain a career in publishing. 

How might a gesture become an image? What can queer movements and visual strategies of the past teach us about shared space, authorship and collective making? In this workshop, participants will use photography as a relational tool, exploring staged and improvised encounters with objects, structures and one another. 

Continuing our exploration of alternative publishing spaces, A Flickering Space Where the Deed Dissolves transforms TALKER into a live, generative publication, weaving interviews, live-feed cameras and record players into an evolving constellation of performance knowledge.

Visible Justice, ICA Research Collective in Residence, continues its inquiry into the body as a site of injury and resistance with a screening of The Battle of Algiers (1966). The screening will be introduced by a conversation between art historian Taous Dahmani and film scholar Luca Peretti. 

The New Rare presents Wishing Wells, 2023–2025 by Matthew Peers, accompanied by a conversation with artist Elizabeth Wright exploring publishing, exhibition making and curatorial practice through Peers’ work with WC2E9HA.

Blending classical tragedy with advertising, luxury branding and popular culture, each interpretation offers a new way into the story.

ICA Creatives is our core young artist programme led by new artists or collectives each year. The 2026/2027 edition of ICA Creatives will focus on emerging London with interdisciplinary design collective RESOLVE.

The first season of ICA Creatives × RESOLVE introduces participants to Starting from the Endz, RESOLVE's framework that centres the local knowledge, lived experience and creativity of young people as a starting point for collective learning and imagining new futures. 

The second season of ICA Creatives × RESOLVE focuses on peer-to-peer learning, collaboration and building lasting networks. Participants will work alongside invited artists, designers, organisers and cultural practitioners, sharing knowledge and developing their own practices through collective discussion and exchange. 

The final season of ICA Creatives × RESOLVE explores the practical and material conditions that enable creative practice. Working between the ICA Workshop and RESOLVE’s Material Store, participants will investigate sustainable approaches to making through the redistribution and reuse of materials from cultural institutions to community organisations across London.
