PRIM is a library + creative agency dedicated to supporting queer creatives of Black ancestry. We create opportunities to exhibit, perform, produce and share within the fashion, art and publishing industries through our book club, events and art installations as well as a digital archive dedicated to our network of 5000+ creatives.
K Bailey Obazee is Founder and Director of PRIM, a platform for storytelling which produces OKHA, a monthly queer + Black book club and curates a variety of community focused events and activations. To date K has collaborated with brands and institutions such as Aesop, Burberry, & Other Stories, British Vogue, ICA, and NOW Gallery curating events, workshops, libraries and more. Since joining PRIM in 2020, they’ve transitioned from Marketing to Project Coordinator for Special Projects, where they produce events, liaise with artists, authors, and brands, and foster innovative collaborations. With a background in music and storytelling, they bring a unique perspective to curating experiences that bridge culture and creativity.
Joshua Woolford is a transdisciplinary artist working across performance, sound, video, and installation. Within their work they actively challenge prevailing narratives and question our position within the wider socio political landscape by centering embodied knowledge and intuition above systematic reasoning. In addition to their artistic practice, Joshua lectures at both UAL (London College of Communication) and the Royal College of Art (School of Architecture) and takes on design commissions. Joshua brings these experiences and networks to PRIM, working on arts and educational projects through crits, workshops and talks.
Desire Desrèe deals with all things social media for PRIM, capturing their moments and sharing them with the world. Desire is passionate about storytelling, exploring new places, reading and laughing their way through life.
Gina Bell is a storyteller, a core part of her identity, she focuses on photojournalistic photography, filmmaking, writing, and activism. Her work centers on amplifying underrepresented narratives and helping to build ethical community archives. Gina is the Editor for book and audio/visual reviews at PRIM, where she curates articles and edits content from writers for publication on the platform.
