ICA Creatives

These workshops will be led by Lauren Siliver, a clown and theatremaker from Liverpool. They will on focus on live performance skills, including movement, physical comedy, and clowning. Taking the complex location of the ICA in central London (a place which both bustling with excitement and heavily surveilled) as a starting point, we will use performance to think about bodily autonomy, mental wellbeing, and storytelling. Participants will work together to produce a short performance.
Lauren Silver is a clown and theatremaker from Liverpool. She is a Pleasance Associate Artist and trained in clown and comedy with Philippe Gaulier and Spymonkey’s Aitor Basauri. Lauren is also the founder of PlayWell and works as a Welfare Consultant within the creative arts. Previous solo work includes SURPRISE! (Camden Peoples Theatre / VAULT Festival) and Get Ready with Me (Liverpool Everyman / Playhouse). Lauren is currently developing her new Jewish clown show Broigus for Autumn 2024, supported by Pleasance Theatre and Liverpool Everyman / Playhouse.
