Abandoned as a baby, Jon finds himself in prison on a manslaughter charge. It’s there that he falls in love with prison guard Iro, unaware of their fateful connection. Told with Schanelec’s customary fragmented narrative style and visual flair, this is poetry as cinema and offers one of the most transfixing big screen experiences in recent memory.
