Funny Shit
Institute of Contemporary Arts
Proof of Concept, dir. Ellie Sachs, Max Cohn, USA 2022, 6mins

It wouldn't be opening night without LSFF's annual comedy extravaganza, from dry to slapstick, ponderous to nonsensical, and acerbic to heartfelt.. Anarchy in the office space, a few sharp shocks, and a meta-ode to the trials of finding film financing. Things take a reliably surreal turn as a country singer finds a muse in the form of a slug, and a woman quests for her grandmother’s lost bible Shakespeare’s Scottish play (redacted) receives the am dram treatment, and there’s a delivery driver dilemma.

Join us for our perennial Friday opening at ICA and bring some levity to your January.
