¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U plays a four-hour cross-genre set in the ICA Theatre.

His experimental approach results in versatile sets; from the more meditative and ambient to high-paced intensity and noise. His blends are often unexpected and propelled by his gripping performative presence. His approach to DJing has been influenced by formative experiences with DJ NOBU, encounters with artists like Rabit, Bill Kouligas (PAN), Arca, Equiknoxx, and his programming of the Zone Unknown parties in Osaka and Kobe.

The performance runs from 9pm – 1am and mixes in tracks from his recent release Midnight Is Comin’, highlighting some of Japan’s underrepresented experimental electronic musicians.

Part of the ICA 75th Anniversary Season.

¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U is considered to be one of the best DJs in the world by many of his peers. From his debut at DJ Nobu’s FUTURE TERROR event to performing 3 years consecutively at Berlin Atonal Festival, Yukimatsu’s sets have to be heard to be understood. His versatility and wide-ranging taste make for gripping and unpredictable sets.
