An image of Will Butler and the group Sister Squares. They stand loosely in front of a red velvet curtain hanging on the wall. Will's face is stuck onto the image like a photo

New York-based Will Butler & Sister Squares perform in London in support of their first new material as a collaborative outfit, with the ghostly and oceanic single ‘Willows’.

A New York–based band rooted in dance and theatre, Sister Squares is Sara Dobbs, Julie Shore, Jenny Shore, and Miles Francis, who have toured on and off with Will Butler since 2015 as a backing band, now joining the artist as full collaborators.

Announced in conjunction with the tour is Butler’s first new material since May 2022, and the debut release from Will Butler & Sister Squares. Co-produced with Miles Francis, ‘Willows’ is  ghostly, oceanic song built around a towering chorus where Butler is joined in full force by Sister Squares. ‘There’s something eternally hopeful about the sound of voices singing in a room together,’ he says. ‘Humans singing together in a room’ is probably the prime philosophical building block of this band.’

With support from Rhumba Club.
