In the Round: Issy Wood
Institute of Contemporary Arts
Book tickets

Issy Wood (b. 1993 in Durham, North Carolina) is an artist living and working in London. Her music explores the states of her inner and outer emotional world in a vulnerable yet playful manner, laid out through confessional lyrics encapsulated within lo-fi pop and synthesizers.

With a career as a painter, Wood turned her attention to music in 2018, writing, producing, and recording on her own. In 2020, she released her debut EP, Cries Real Tears, followed by her first full-length studio album, My Body Your Choice, in 2022; and her second album Accidental American that she released in 2024.

The performance at ICA will be Wood’s sixth live show to date, taking place alongside her solo museum exhibition of self-portrait paintings at London’s National Portrait Gallery, which opens in October 2026.
