https://conditions.studio/ Chen Di is an artist based in London. Chen’s current practice combines speculative fictional documentaries, organic moving sculptures, digital games and sound. Chen’s latest projects steal and transform ideas, methodologies, and stories from animism, finance, techniques of magic, agriculture and biotechnology industries, internet-oriented mass sociogenic bodily symptoms as well as Chen’s family gatherings.
Jack Hogan is an interdisciplinary artist, architect and communist from Waterford, Ireland. Their work focuses on the rich sociality of everyday life, foregrounding friendship and what constitutes good shared lives and places.
Jenny Camp uses their practice to process the nature of being human and an artist in a digitally and economically focused world that doesn’t seem to see people, empathy, or compassion as a priority. They also work as a freelance propmaker, fabricator, and technician.
Mica Georgis is a filmmaker and writer based in London. Their films have screened at international festivals and been exhibited at galleries including the Institut du Monde Arabe, Paris and the ICA, London. Their first film ISHTAR is available on BBC iPlayer. Their publication RAT Zine is available in the ICA Bookshop and an extract from their new film Oh…Mallards!! is published in PROTOTYPE 6.
Robin Finch Pickering is an artist living and working in Croydon and South East London who explores layered histories through hesitation, repetition and deviation. Often building and dismantling, a practice that dances between archiving and invention.
Shirine Shah is a writer and moving image artist.
Xinyu XuXX is a Chinese-born, London-based artist, working on moving image, video installation and screening curation. Xinyu's work is characterised by the interweaving of autobiographical narratives, feminist world-making, queer space & diasporic experiences. She sees the image as a phantom limb that can inhabit different times, spaces and build a second skin.
XU is a multidisciplinary artist with a Fine Arts degree (FAAP, São Paulo, Brazil) now based in London. XU studied painting with Maggi Hambling and exhibited at the 1st Liverpool Biennial 2001 amongst other exhibitions. XU's work deconstructs objects, incorporating painting techniques like layers, textures, and volumes throughout different media using colour fields as main expression.
Organised by Matthew Noel-Tod the co-founder, with David Panos, of Conditions. Matthew is an artist, filmmaker and educator.
