Join us for Private Hire, a new site-responsive installation with live activations by Biogal. Exploring the concept of ‘private hire’ and the physical infastructures of art institutions, Biogal examines the privatisation of public spaces and services.

Through a dynamic assemblage of found transcripts, original poetry, and interactions with the ICA's private hire materials, Biogal probes what happens when the boundaries between public and private spaces blur. The work highlights inaccessible spaces and barriers within art organisations and beyond, purposefully reconfiguring the event space: the staff entrance will become the primary entrance and will be made step-free with an installed ramp.

Private Hire is part of PULSE, a platform for new collaborative initiatives and emerging interdisciplinary practices.
Bio
Biogal is a T*S Anarcho-Showgirl, Writer & Organiser. gogo banshee at the wake of the world, a pre-op hypnopompic dream-scene found flitting between: spectacle & survival; deception & disclosure; seduction or ultimatum. she pleads for a suspension of disbelief as the opening act toward faith.
