Montez Press Radio presents a special broadcast of Stand Up Fall Down live from the ICA, featuring a host of performances that explore and parody the relationship between the UK's dwindling welfare state and its impact on cultural production. Including conversations on the morals of advertising, the uses of humour, performative DJ sets and much more.
This broadcast is part of a series of radio programs, conversations, and public performances looking at humour, satire, and the absurd in times of crisis – particularly relevant in today's moment of political failure. The programming will run across their three broadcasting locations: New York City, London and Mexico City.
Line-up - Darren Cullen (AKA Spelling Mistakes Cost Lives), Ruth Angel Edwards, LULU THE TOOL, Hannah Sawtell, Zein Majali, Ann Duffau and Louise Ashcroft.

Montez Press Radio is an experimental broadcasting and performance platform. Founded in 2018 with the goal of fostering greater experimentation and conversation between artists, writers, and thinkers through the medium of radio. The platform invites different corners of the art world to interact with each other in person and on air – a place where media finally meets flesh. Drawn to art that exists in the unexpected, the authenticity of sharing without a script, the sounds of ideas in the making and conversation that forgets there’s an audience.
