A mother and son, a young couple from Germany, flights to Montreal, to San Francisco. An ensemble of strangers come into stifled contact with one another amid arbitrariness and alienation in Schanelec’s first film set fully outside of Berlin and shot almost entirely inside the Parisian airport, in many ways an ideal stage for Schanelec, “filmmaker of demission, dispersal and drift.”*

This screening will be introduced by artist, filmmaker and writer Beny Wagner.
