Music, dir. Angela Schanelec, Germany, France, Serbia 2023, Greek and English with English subtitles. 108 min.

On a stormy night in the mountains of Greece, a young couple abandon their newborn child. Taken in by a family of farmers, Jon grows up without knowing his father or mother. Years later, after a tragic accident, he is sent to prison, where he meets Iro. The two form a connection, expressed through music, that will, by turns, haunt them and uphold them the rest of their days.

Freely inspired by the story of Oedipus, this transcendent exploration of fate, tragedy and hope is yet another astonishing achievement from one of contemporary cinema's preeminent artists.

The screening on 22 March will be followed by an in-person Q&A with Angela Schanelec.
