Long-time collaborators visual artist Anne Verheij and composer Cassie Kinoshi join us at LSFF for an in-depth exploration of their experimental film and immersive installation work together so far. Initially forming their creative partnership in 2014 after meeting during their respective studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Kinoshi and Verheij have since built a portfolio of works which explore a multitude of inner dialogues drawing from the female experience, the journey to re-opening oneself after trauma and our innate desire to form connections and communicate.
Anne is a London-based Dutch visual artist, scenographer and filmmaker, best known for independent site-specific film and dance works. Cassie Kinoshi is a Hyundai Mercury Prize nominated (2019) and Ivor Novello Composer Award winning (2018) London-based composer, arranger and alto-saxophonist. As an artist she performs in her own band seed. as well as being a former key member of KOKOROKO and Nérija.
