Programme

My Aunt
(선희이모), dir. Wi Eun-kyoung and Son Gwang-min, Korea 2026, Korean with English subtitles, 24 min.

One day, Sunhee, a pet groomer who lives alone, is visited by her niece, Seo-yeon, who arrives with a large suitcase and claims to be traveling to New Zealand for work. A house that bears traces of a childhood, a thank-you note for being raised, a mother's story that only calls up feelings of anger — although there seems to be a deep and long-standing relationship between the two women, the film My Aunt seeks to more closely examine the everyday life they spend together. Between the two women is an expression of love that cannot be summarised in just a handful of words.

Speak, Young Granny (갱년기 소녀 투쟁기), dir. Chang Seoyun, Korea 2026, Korean with English subtitles, 22 min.

Speak, Young Granny is a documentary that tells the story of Seoyun, who was diagnosed with premature menopause at the age of 24. The director of the documentary is Chang Seoyun, the ‘menopausal girl’ referenced in the film's Korean title, is both a film student who loves movies and a woman shaken by the changes her body is undergoing. The film draws together joyful and moving moments in Seoyun's life to paint a picture of her future: a mother who has become a peer in menopause, friends that become a source of support, a place the heart always turns to, and a daily life being newly created.

My Killer Erotic Video (나의 죽이는 에로비디오), dir. Seo Saerom and Bae Issac, Korea 2026, Korean with English subtitles, 19 min.

Saemi is an art student who collapses at the slightest touch from a man. It exhausts her just to be cautious of the boys around her at school, but her worries only deepen when she finally meets a man she wants to sleep with. My Killer Erotic Video is an animation that portrays women's fears and desires in a cheerful, witty manner. The film traverses Saemi's past and present, brilliantly exploring the idea of ‘the body’ as something that simultaneously holds both attraction and threat.

Kick It! (킥 잇!), dir. Choi Eunsoo, Korea 2026, Korean with English subtitles, 19 min.

High school student and football lover Eunjeong wants to participate in a semi-competitive football match that is open only to male students. When her best friend Sohye asks why, Eunjeong's only answer is, "Because I like it!" Meanwhile, Sohye starts dating class president Eunho, but for some reason she doesn't feel at ease in the relationship. As the competition draws closer, the girls face conflicts both large and small. Kick It! is a short film that illustrates the ways that one can confidently announce "I like what I like and don't like what I don't like," transposing the sparkle of that defiant moment onto the flight of a football.

Total runtime: 84 min.
