The filmmaker Ignacio Agüero creates an intimate audiovisual correspondence with his parents, beginning with his father’s death just days after Allende’s election and spanning fifty years of personal and Chilean history.
Combining family archival footage with new material, the film weaves together memory, family and political history, creating a deeply personal portrait of a life and a country shaped by its past. This intimate sociopolitical fabric reflects Agüero’s investigative and exploratory approach, which he describes as a “cinema of divagation.”
