In the verdant Bulgarian mountains, Veska crosses paths with Saïd, an old acquaintance whose car has been stolen. Offering help, she takes him to the excavation site where she works as an archaeologist. But as they reconnect, Veska is drawn into Saïd’s shady business world. Western writer-director Valeska Grisebach’s film is a skilfully directed drama with a strong feminist spine.
