Philosopher and neuroscientist Béatrice Courte investigates the extraordinary tale of a Benedictine monk who claimed to have invented a machine capable of replaying any moment in history, including Christ’s crucifixion. Weaving together archival texts unearthed in New York’s historic libraries with shadow-soaked 16mm imagery, Chronovisor unfolds as a haunting scholarly mystery.
