In this deeply personal and poetic non-fiction work, Portuguese filmmaker Catarina Ruivo embarks on a journey to resurrect the memory of her beloved grandmother, Júlia, who passed away at the age of 92. Through a blend of family archives, intimate letters, and evocative imagery, the film creates a space where her grandmother continues to live, speak, and be remembered. Narrated by actress Rita Durão, the film offers a nuanced portrayal of Júlia's life, capturing her strength, fears, and desires. 

My Grandmother Trelototó premiered at IndieLisboa 2019, where it was awarded Best Portuguese Feature Film. With its lyrical storytelling and innovative approach, the film stands as a testament to the filmmaker's dedication to preserving the essence of those we hold dear.
