Due to unforseen circumstances Marcin Koszałka is no longer able to join us for a Q&A following this screening.
Loosely based on the serial killer (so-called Vampire of Kraków) who tormented Poland in the 60s, Koszałka’s directorial debut is more of a thriller than a biopic, exploring evil tendencies and how people come to be the worst versions of themselves. Filip Pławiak stars as the curious Karol who finds the serial killer and, unable to tear himself away, begins to stalk him, becoming entangled in something larger than himself.
The Red Spider was nominated for multiple awards, and has won several since its release.
