Events unfold in peculiar circumstances as unnamed family members go about their daily life, cut off from the rest of the world.
Living by their own rules (and even using an alien vocabulary), the family seem content in their situation, even though the three children are hemmed in by the boundaries imposed by their strict father. The only outsider to enter their world is Christina (Anna Kalaitzidou) who unwittingly introduces the children to life outside their bubble through a handful of discarded films, sending the ill-balanced family dynamic into disarray.
Winner of the Prix Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival in 2009, Dogtooth is a poetic, disquieting family drama from Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos (Kinetta).
