William Furlong is recognised as a central figure in the development of a new concept of sculpture in the 1970s and 80s, arising out of sound and the voice. Over the past 35 years his Audio Arts Magazine has been published as a series of cassette and CD editions and is a comprehensive archive of interviews with artists.

To celebrate his forthcoming book, Speaking of Art, Four Decades of Art in Conversation, he is in conversation with Mel Gooding, art critic, writer and exhibition organiser, on 8 May.

A new Audio Arts interview with Kutlug Ataman, conducted by Jean Wainwright, is being recorded live in the ICA Lower Gallery on 14 May from 3pm.
