Werkflow Workshop

Werkflow Workshop

29 Jul 201730 Jul 2017

This is a two-part, two-day workshop and participants are required to attend both sessions

Game-engine focused, digital arts studio Werkflow lead a two-day workshop on the development of virtual environments and digital assets, followed by a discussion exploring the ways in which artists are using related technologies. The In formation programme reimagines the use of the ICA’s physical spaces towards moments of skill sharing and collaboration; this workshop brings together key practitioners from the fast-developing field of digital arts, promoting forms of social and cultural production both in the ‘real’ and ‘virtual’ realms.

Werkflow was established by Tom Wandrag and James Stringer. Cross-disciplinary projects include Likely Spoof commissioned by The Photographers Gallery for PowerPoint Polemics (2016). They have worked with artist Sidsel Meineche Hansen on several VR and interactive works since 2014. Their music video for patten's Epsilon (2016, WARP Records) employed game engine technologies, and recent live visual for Kuedo and Rabit saw the development of patches for music software Ableton Live Push integrating gaming software for the Unsound Festival, Krakow (2015). Werkflow have also developed previous workshops exploring physical and virtual space with young people.
