Skin Deep collaborate with POC. to showcase the work of four filmmakers, screening a series of new music videos which challenge how we define film. This event explores how filmmakers of colour are responding to new technologies, creating fresh work that is opening up new spaces for conversation around the exclusivity of filmmaking. Showcasing work by Raine Allen Miller, Bafic, Akinola Davies Jnr and Stephen Isaac Wilson, the screenings will be followed by a panel discussion with the filmmakers, alongside Nadira Amrani from POC. and Jessica Straker from Juice VCR.
Skin Deep is a London-based multimedia platform that amplifies voices of colour through the discussion of race and culture, inspiring conversations around themes that are misrepresented or depoliticised by the mainstream media.
