Jorella Andrews is head of the Visual Cultures department at Goldsmiths, University of London. Having trained as a fine artist and then as an art theorist, she is interested in the relations between philosophical inquiry, perception, and art practice, with a particular emphasis on phenomenology and the work of Maurice Merleau-Ponty. She is currently completing two books around these topics, Merleau-Ponty and the Questions of Paniting, and Showing Off: A Philosophy of Image. She is also the series editor of a new book series entitled 'Visual Culture As…', the first three titles of which are about to be published by Sternberg Press (Spring 2013).
