We will be holding a preview event for teachers and educators to accompany the exhibition For the blind man in the dark room looking for the black cat that isn’t there, with ICA assistant curator Charlotte Bonham-Carter. This is a chance to hear more opportunities for schools and colleges whilst enjoying a glass of wine with colleagues.
For the blind man... begins with the premise that art is not a code that needs cracking. Celebrating the experience of not-knowing and unlearning, the artists in this exhibition understand the world in speculative terms, eager to keep art separate from explanation. Embracing a spirit of curiosity, this show is dedicated to the playfulness of being in the dark.
A visit to the exhibition would actively support teaching the art and design curriculum at key stages 3, 4 and 5 as well as foundation studies.
