With an Ann Summers shop on each high street, sex has never been so mainstream. By contrast, broadsheets and tabloids alike are filled with hysterical reports on paedophilia and prostitution, while catholic churches are being allowed to discriminate against gay couples. A short series of ICA talks examines the boundary between sex and perversion in society. Why are fantasy and fetish so crucial to the expression of contemporary sexuality? What do our sexual fantasies reveal about society's prejudices and about ourselves?
