Family portraits don't come more uncomfortably intimate than this dissection of dysfunction. With no backstory, we join first-time director Maringouin at the New Orleans home of his estranged father, Johnny Roe, a man who once threatened to kill his family and who now lives in a deranged, drug-addicted life with his common-law wife Virgie. Maringouin does more than simply record this home-front apocalypse: his deft digital manipulation of sound and image makes for an unsettling, sometimes surreal domestic disturbance.

The screenings on Monday 23 July, Friday 27 July (both) and Saturday 28 July (both) will be followed will be followed by Q&A sessions with director John Maringouin.
