25 Mar 2018

If tickets are sold out, you are encouraged to join the returns queue at the ICA Box Office on the day of the event. Fifteen minutes after Playback events begin, unclaimed tickets are distributed to waitlist customers and visitors present in the ICA foyer

Discover how to score film sound with everyday objects in this interactive workshop with composer, sound artist and educator Daniel James Ross. This workshop also explores the story of how Jack Foley developed his craft and teaches you how to experiment when creating sound on a low budget.

Daniel James Ross is a composer and sound artist specialising in human-computer interaction and computer-aided composition. He is a PhD candidate at Goldsmiths University and his music combines elements of free jazz, electro-acoustics and choral music. Ross lectures in audio technology and musical composition at Morley College, Goldsmiths and the University for the Creative Arts.

The workshop runs twice – once at 1pm, the second at 2.45pm
