Anthony Giddens and David Marquand were two intellectual prime movers behind the New Labour idea at its beginning. Now both come to the ICA to ask what can be salvaged from the project and look at how Labour might win the next general election.
Anthony Giddens's most recent book is Over to you, Mr Brown: How Labour Can Win Again; David Marquand's newest book is Britain Since 1918: The Strange Career of British Democracy. Chair: Polly Toynbee, columnist at The Guardian and co-author of Unjust Rewards.
