Hong Kong 1962. Chow is the editor of a daily newspaper who has just moved into a new apartment with his wife. Li-zhen has moved to the same apartment block with her husband. With their respective partners working away from home Li-zhen and Chow increasingly spend time together, soon realising that their partners are having an affair. A stylish and poetic period drama imbued with romantic longing, featuring oustandng performances from Wong Kar-Wai's long-term acting collaborators.
