Mismatch: Why We Are No Longer Fit For The World

Our evolution designed us for a world very different from that which we have constructed for ourselves, says an important new strain of scientific thinking, and this mismatch means that we increasingly fail to adapt to the demands of modern life. The cost of all this, according to some, is displayed by growing health problems such as obesity and diabetes. Is the mismatch really a problem - and, if so, what steps can we take to address it?
