Mademoiselle C

Carine Roitfeld ran French Vogue for 10 years, building a reputation as one of fashion’s most influential movers. Mademoiselle C chronicles Carine’s launch of her new magazine CR Fashion Book. It gives a rare inside glimpse at the inner workings not only of Roitfeld’s professional world but also her personal life.

Internationally regarded for her chic and subversive styling, seen for decades within the world’s most directional magazines and the campaigns of fashion’s most legendary houses, Roitfield was stylist and muse to Tom Ford prior to joining Vogue. More than any stylist working today, she possesses the uncanny ability to charge contemporary fashion with elements of power, humour, and desire, producing highly influential and nuanced imagery that defines the style of its time. Roitfeld’s work is iconic and instantly recognizable, always pushing the boundaries of fashion and the limits of taste. As the Editor in Chief of Vogue Paris from 2001 to 2011, Roitfeld spurred the publication to new creative heights, creating indelible photographs with many of the world’s greatest image-makers.
