LUX / ICA Biennial of Moving Images

The LUX/ICA Biennial of Moving Images is a new four-day celebration of contemporary artists' moving image launched by LUX and the ICA, offering a wide-ranging and diverse perspective on contemporary moving image practice. The LUX/ICA Biennial is the only one of its kind in the UK, exploring contemporary work through screenings, courses and talks in both the ICA cinemas and theatre. It features:

• A series of guest-curated programmes by eleven leading international curators and artists, including Thomas Beard and Ed Halter (Light Industry), Elena Filipovic, Michelle Cotton, Martha Kirszenbaum, Lukasz Ronduda/Michal Wolinski, Shanay Jhaveri, Mark Webber, Ben Rivers, Carmen Billows, Shama Khanna and Rosa Barba
• An exciting line-up of live performance commissions; an Artists’ School run by Ian White
• A Curating Course led by George Clark
• A Live Journal edited by Isla Leaver-Yap
• A dedicated reader including newly commissioned essays and artists’ projects
• Chaired panel discussions and talks, presented in association with Film London Artists' Moving Image Network (FLAMIN)
• A two-day student symposium co-produced by the students of the LUX/Central Saint-Martins MRes Art: Moving Image course
