  • Best British Short Film Sponsored by the British Council

    The winning filmmaker will be supported to participate in a lab at Greenhouse Goa, new space run by the organisers of UnBox, an India-based roaming festival and platform celebrating action at the intersections of different disciplines.

  • Nowness Award For Best International Short Film

    NOWNESS is a global video channel showing the best in culture. The winner of the LSFF Best International Film Award will receive a one-on-one development and mentoring session with Video Commissioner (and Sundance Film Festival programmer) Katie Metcalfe.

  • ICA Award for Best Experimental Short Film

    The ICA is delighted to offer the LSFF experimental award-winning filmmaker free ICA Membership for the year, plus 10 free film tickets.

  • Onestop Film Award for Best Cinematography

    One Stop Film is delighted to present the winner of the Best Cinematography award, with an Alexa mini shooting kit with Anamorphic or Spherical lenses with all the bits that you will need to shoot your next short.

  • Open City Docs Award for Best Documentary Short Film

    The winner of the Open City Docs Award will have their film screened at Open City Documentary Festival in September 2017. Additionally, they will receive a full industry pass to the festival.

  • Shooting People Award for Best Student Short Film

    Shooting People is the UK's largest community of independent filmmakers. Shooting People award the Best Student Filmmaker free Lifetime membership to their community.

  • Little White Lies Award for Best Animated Short Film

    Little White Lies are proud to be partnering with the LSFF team in awarding a prize for the best animated film to screen at this year's festival. The prizewinner will receive a one year subscription to the magazine as well as a full-page profile in the March/April issue.

  • Bechdel Test Fest Award for Best Female Director

    The winner will have her film screened alongside one of BTF's feature presentations, plus a BTF t-shirt, a limited edition GIRLS GOTTA EAT zine and a pair of tickets to one of BTF's events. She'll also be featured on the BTF website as 'Our Girl Friday'. Bechdel Test Fest is a feminist film festival and ongoing celebration of women in front of and behind the camera.

  • Lomography Award for Best Lo-Budget Short Film

    Lomography partner with LSFF once more, to present the winner of Best Lo-Budget Short Film a beautiful vintage-inspired Lomo’instant Wide Central Park Edition camera, with 3 lenses and a remote control lens cap.
