Sound, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the ILN collective. Once more they dip into their deep bags of goodies to bring you an eclectic mix of musical wonders. From the diverse world of 60s / 70s classic psyche, funky beats, crazy folk, cheeky lounge, uplifting Xian and soulful symphonies, comes another trip into the unknown. This time we head to Planet Folk...
The day after the Midsummer Solstice, we present a night of fabulous folk, mystical melodies and pagan pomp... Music to inspire summer shananagins - to roll in meadows, make daisy-chains, frolic through fields, punt down rivers and, of course, the odd sacrifice to ancient gods.
We will be featuring a live acoustic set by Ellen Mary McGee – who, when not fronting Nottingham-based folk band St Joan, has been busy recording a new set of folk songs.
