The ICA are taking over the Croydon Arts Store to launch our new Social Creative network. Join us for an evening of art, film screenings and music celebrating this new digital project connecting young people with the Institute of Contemporary Arts. The Social Creative network is an enabling network for those who believe in the power of the arts and creative industries to make positive change in the world, curated exclusively by and for young people.  

To launch the network we're having a celebration at the Croydon Arts Store, a temporary takeover of the old Grange Furniture Store in the Whitgift Centre. Take part in a zine making workshop with all-girl zine-making and DJ collective BORN n BREAD, see short films made by young and emerging talent selected from the ICA's Playback Festival, and enjoy artist Q+As followed by DJs, music and networking.

Social Network = Creative Change
By joining the Social Creative network launch and you'll have for the chance to win a Lomo Instant Sanremo Camera, get free ICA Membership, as well as offers on tickets to events and films at the ICA!

The Social Creative network is open to young people aged 15-25. By joining you will benefit from:  

• Being part of a youth-led digital project affiliated with the ICA
• Sharing artwork, photographs, GIFs, film, text and audio files online
• Connecting your ideas and your artwork with other young creatives
• Group crits facilitated by experts from creative industries
• Gaining accreditation through participation to use on your CV or personal statement
• Free ICA Membership (not needed if under 18)
• Access to offers on tickets to events and films at the ICA
• Exchange of networks, ideas and knowledge with ICA's Curatorial team
• Opportunity to curate an exhibition in the Croydon Arts Store during February half term 2018
