A discussion on artists’ visibility in the current increased transmissibility of information enabled by the internet. Chaired by Cadence Kinsey with speakers Holly White, Tom Clark, Leslie Kulesh and Beatrice Loft Schulz.

Dr Cadence Kinsey is a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of History of Art at University College London, where she is currently working on a book project about art after the Internet. Her research is focused on the social, political and historical interrelationships between art, constructions of gender and sexuality, and theories of science and technology. Cadence has previously held visiting Lectureships at the Courtauld Institute of Art, the Slade School of Fine Art and Imperial College London.

Tom Clark is Editor at BAK, basis voor actuele kunst, Utrecht, an associate lecturer at University of the Arts London, and holds an MFA in Curating from Goldsmiths College (2014). Between 2010 and 2015 Tom co-directed Arcadia Missa Gallery and was Editor in chief of Arcadia Missa Publications and the journal How to Sleep Faster. Alongside this Tom is an independent editor, curator and publisher, also writing and teaching on contemporary art, curating and publishing. Tom’s work focuses on art, curating and its politics, specifically: art produced after networks; a history of the narratives, forms, materiality and politics of affect collectivity and history in inter-media art practices; and questions of value, publics and collectivity in art and its organization. Amongst others Tom has co-edited the books: (networked) every whisper is a crash on my ears (2014), Instituting for the Contemporary (2016, forthcoming); with past independent curatorial work at: MOT International Project Space; Central Saint Martins; International Project Space, Birmingham; and SixtyEight Institute, Copenhagen.

Leslie Kulesh (b. 1982 Lake Forest, IL USA) lives and works in London, Graduated from San Francisco Art Institute, was a 2015 associate at Open School East, London. Recent solo exhibitions include: It’s What’s Inside That Counts, Et Al. San Francisco (2015); Glamourshotz”©®™, Lima Zulu, London (2014); Oh My Goddess!, French Riviera, London (2012). Recent group exhibitions include: K.I.S.S. Generation & Display London (2015); Sylvanian Fashion Week Cosmos Carl Online (2015); Wirksworth Festival, Derbyshire, UK (2014); It’s Been Four Years Since 2010, Preteen Gallery, London (2014); FIGHT! with Cecile B. Evans, Center, Berlin (2014). Recent performances and screenings include: Baby BoBo Hotel Palenque at Center, Berlin, (2015); Vanity Fair, with Saemundur Thor Helgason, Project Native Informant London (2015).

Beatrice Loft Schulz born in the year of the tiger, lives and works in the year of the goat.

Holly White is an artist living and working in London. She graduated from MA Material and Visual Culture at the anthropology department, UCL, London, in 2014. She works in digital media, sculpture, text, performance and video and is one half of music project Goth Tech. Exhibitions include I'm always lazy when I miss you, AND/OR, London (solo exhibition); No One is Going to Go There Anymore, Evelyn Yard, London (solo exhibition); Young London 2013, V22, London; Ocean Living, Arcadia_Missa, London; Net Narrative, Carlos Ishikawa, London; and The New Deal, LimaZulu, London (solo exhibition).
