'I'm so f**kin’ beautiful I can't stand it myself!'
Female Trouble is the outrageous tale of Dawn Davenport (Divine), a juvenile delinquent from Baltimore who leaves home in a rage after not receiving the cha-cha heels she wanted for Christmas. She becomes pregnant on a filthy roadside mattress, falls in with misfits at a beauty salon, and stages a nightclub act with a trampoline and a dead fish. Convinced by her new friends the Dashers to test Jean Genet's theory that 'crime equals beauty', Dawn embarks on a hilarious spree of violence. A riotously funny bad-taste epic from director John Waters.
Female Trouble, dir. John Waters, US 1974, 89 mins
