Paula and Paulina, an affluent lesbian couple, are sharing a final day together at their beachfront summer home in Santo Domingo. But the unexpected arrival of Gaston, a young guest from the previous night's party, interrupts their intimate farewell. As the intruder's unsettling presence becomes increasingly malevolent, tensions within the couple's relationship begin to surface and a shocking transformation is triggered.
This powerful psychological thriller offers an unflinching look at Chilean society, exploring inequality, class conflict and attitudes towards race, gender and sexuality. The debut feature from writer-director Jorge Riquelme Serrano, Chameleon was a Sutherland Award nominee for the most original and innovative first feature at the BFI London Film Festival. It features an award-winning soundtrack from acclaimed musician and composer Carlos Cabezas (Neruda, The Club, NO).
