New York Times photographer Bill Cunningham spent much of his life comprehensively documenting fashion trends for the publication’s Style section. In this revealing documentary the veteran snapper became the subject, as first-time filmmaker Richard Press followed his daily routine at home and on the streets of one of the most fashion-conscious cities in the world. Cunningham’s dedication to his craft is both inspiring and life-affirming – his work ethic was tireless and his eye for creativity tangible. Bill Cunningham in New York is as fascinating and compelling as it is unusual in its focus.
