BAFTA Masterclass: Cinematography with Julian Court

Cinematographer Julian Court has worked successfully in film and television for over two decades. Best known for his work on popular television drama Luther; he is a two-time BAFTA nominee for Ripper Street (2012) and The Devil’s Whore (2008). His other credits include, Da Vinci’s Demons, Birdsong and highly acclaimed TV movie Mo. More recently, Court has just completed filming on Grantchester, for ITV.

Join Julian at the ICA to hear from him on the craft of cinematography and to gain further insight into his body of work.

BAFTA ICA Masterclass Labs are monthly events where innovative talents from the film and television industries share their creative practices with the audience. Sessions are illustrated with clips or other media, and with much time for questions. These masterclass labs give the audience an opportunity to exchange ideas with some of the industries’ exceptional newer talents.
