The Audience in Fragments

17 Feb 2009

There is evidence of a new kind of movement in theatre, one which takes advantage of the fractured sensibility of the audience and its thirst for a more active involvement. What can this sensibility tell us about audiences, and what opportunities does it present?

Katie Mitchell, director of some trace of her at the National Theatre, will be in conversation with Dominic Cooke, artistic director at the Royal Court Theatre. This discussion is chaired by David Edgar, playwright and commentator whose plays include The Prisoner's Dilemma and Playing with Fire.
