This entertaining documentary profiling Slovene philosopher Slavoj Zizek returns to the big screen alongside his talk here on 4 May. Astra Taylor’s film focuses on Zizek’s ascendancy to the position of academic celebrity, capturing him in full flow at home in Ljubljana and in packed lecture halls from Buenos Aires to New York. The rambling doc – in constant motion, along with its restless subject - reveals Zizek’s own thoughts about a wide variety of theories and concepts, including the unlikely fame that has found him. It’s a short film, but one that’s dense with words and ideas.
