ICA Membership

Day Membership

The ICA has returned to its roots as a membership organisation with the re-introduction of Day Membership, set at £1 during exhibition hours (11am-6pm Wednesday to Sunday, and until 9pm on Thursdays).

Day Membership is valid for the entire day and includes access to un-ticketed exhibitions and events in the main galleries and theatre, displays in the Fox Reading Room, as well as the café bar and free wifi. Day Membership can only be purchased in person on the day via cash or card payment.

Day Membership is free to the following:

  • All current annual members
  • All day on Tuesday
  • Under-18s
  • Cinema, talk and event ticket holders for the day
  • Concessions (disabled persons, senior citizens and un-waged)
  • Education groups. Pre-booking is available on the telephone via box office.

Our membership scheme is the oldest of any UK arts venue, running from 1946 to September 2008, and our archival records detail a rich history of artists, curators and writers who have been ICA members over the years, including Jake & Dinos Chapman, Martin Creed, Jane Drew, Antony Gormley, Anish Kapoor, Dorothy Morland, Chris Ofili, Jasia Reichardt and Mark Wallinger.
