A manipulation of the human body, gender and identity to create the insect form. The film explores how insect movement causes repulsion and how the cocoon becomes both a struggle and a release. It studies how the insect's death results in the awe and obsession of collection and preservation. 

Kathryn Attrill is an artist-filmmaker born on the Isle of Wight in 1996. She moved to London in 2014 to study filmmaking at Kingston University School of Fine Art after being introduced to artist moving image. Her practice explores the human body, portraiture and natural processes and cycles through short film, filmic installations and sculpture.
