ICA is pleased to present this limited edition etching by New York based painter, Richard Aldrich.

Aldrich's edition for the ICA was conceived as a 3 part artwork: an audio piece for the ICA recent exhibition Soundworks (19 June – 16 September 2012); the record sleeve for Aldrich’s band Hurray's forthcoming album and this print; one of the studies for the album artwork. The image for the print originates from a small acrylic painting of the same dimensions, and has been remade as a two plate polymer etching and hand coloured by the artist.

Richard Aldrich (b. 1975, Hampton, Virginia) received his BFA from Ohio State University in 1998. His work has been exhibited across the United States and Europe. Most recently, his works has been featured in solo exhibitions at the SFMoMA in San Francisco, and the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis. Aldrich’s work was included in the Whitney Biennial in 2010. He has shown in institutions including Palais De Tokyo in Paris, Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea in Santiago de Compostela, Sculpture Center in New York, Midway Contemporary Art Center in Minneapolis and P.S.1 Center for Contemporary Art in Long Island City, among many others. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
