ICA is pleased to present a limited series of unique editions by Isabelle Cornaro.

Cornaro’s works are all unique variations of 20 varnished 3-layer silkscreen prints. They are extremely delicate, and were inspired by her short 16mm film Celebration (2013).

For this edition, Isabelle extracted two animated images from Disney cartoons and mixed them with compositions of solarized objects. In this sense, both the cartoon images and the objects are found ready-made, reflecting the superposition and transparencies in the movie.

Isabelle Cornaro (born 1974 in France), lives and works in Paris. Recent solo exhibitions include: Le Magasin, 2012, FRAC (Regional Fund for Contemporary Art) Aquitaine, France (2012), Le Collège des Bernardins, Paris (2011), 1m3, Lausanne (2011), and Centre d’Art Contemporain de Troyes, Troyes (2010), Kunstverein Düsseldorf (2009). Recent group shows include: Intense Proximité/y, Paris Triennale, Palais de Tokyo (2012), Un'espressione geografica, Fondazione Sandretto, Turin (2011), Vide-Poche, Sculpture Center, New-York (2011), Projection, Centre Pompidou, Paris (2011).
