No Bra Love & Power Album Launch with Nkisi

Electronic musician, producer and performer No Bra – aka Susanne Oberbeck – launches her third album Love & Power.

Love & Power is Oberbeck’s challenge to power hierarchies and binaries, imagining a future of relations and sex outside of traditional structures. Across the 12-track project, Oberbeck muses on sadomasochism, cruising, the inextricable link between sex and money, and the portrayal of these themes in pop music and politics.

No Bra is an industrial electronic act known for their confrontational, sexually ambiguous performances and explicit lyrics. Susanne Oberbeck has been performing under the name No Bra since 2003. She has also directed short films and music videos.

Born in Kinshasa and Belgian-raised, Nkisi (aka Melika Ngombe Kolongo) co-founded the NON WORLDWIDE collective alongside Chino Amobi and Angel-HO. Having released her first full LP 7 Directions on the UIQ label this year, and a follow-up EP The Dark Orchestra on Warp offshoot Arcola, her recent live performances have been a captivating cross-talk of African rhythms, uncompromising European hard dance tropes, foreboding synth melodies and a relentless, galvanising energy.
